First she shamelessly attempts to copy Marilyn, now she wants to pass as this flawfree goddess - oh hell no! If she comes anywhere near my Audrey I'm going to cut a biatch.
(I imagine Elizabeth and Marilyn are giving Lindsay this exact "gurl no" side-eye from beyond...)
Putting aside Lilo's utter classlessness aside for a moment, let's see if Hollywood casting directors at least got the physical resemblance right:

I too was very sad when I read this news. There are so many other actresses better suited to Elizabeth I think..... You are not alone in your weeping.
put her look aside, I don't see how any professional would want to work with her! The girl is a mess and she's notorious for being an unreliable disaster on set as well. So sad!!

I really dislike all the hate that gets heaped onto women like Lindsay and then we kind of seem to laughably love (well, maybe not all of us but many of us) men who act similarly. It really makes me angry.
Also, have you seen the photos done of her a few years back for Interview magazine where they dressed her up as Liz? They're very good. She still doesn't look exactly like her but neither did Michelle Williams look exactly like Marilyn! (Michelle is definitely a far more skilled actor, though.)
And as for being a disaster on set...I've heard many stories of how Marilyn was difficult to work with as well (probably for different reasons), yet she's one of the greatest actresses to ever grace the screen.
There probably are actors better suited to the role but I'll reserve judgement until after...

I wish blogger had a reply function! I just want to assure you that the level of disgust I have for men like Charlie Sheen is much much higher!
I think a lot of my annoyance with Linday is how I feel she is trying to glamorise the life of an addict/trainwreck by constantly linking herself with Marilyn. It's not a life to aspire to but she seems to think that her situation will be seen as tragically beautiful rather than just a mess if she parallels the life of MM!
Nothing about the subject ha ha ha !!! But i had a confession : I had love so much the lone movie i saw from her : "Herbie fully loaded" ^^ !!!! Yeah i know i'm an kid ;)
I found her cute even she is too skinny and didn't seems to be in good health. But that's part of the deal when you are famous and from Hollywood. What would we do if we were in her shoes ????
BTW she is cute but not beautifull as Liz. she's still an young girl, we can't compare cause she still not became a real lady. Times will tell :)
Very well put Miss Emmi! I think Lindsey would be fine in another role, and yes, there is a double standard sometimes. In this case it's more of a "what would Elizabeth say?" kind of thing- and Elizabeth was quoted as saying “The only person to play Elizabeth Taylor is Elizabeth Taylor” How about that sass! : ) I think I just get a little sour on how much Lindsey thinks she IS a starlet, when I think she is just a smidge too dim. Opinions of course...
Some blogger layouts have a reply function. I do understand what you're saying, I suppose I just get a little sensitive at times (I'd go to a point where I'd seen so much girl hate yesterday I was feeling twitchy). But, ugh, yes...let's not get started on Charlie Sheen et al. Bleh.
